Badili Africa organized a young women’s  dialogue, where young women drawn from different sectors (formal and informal settlements) were engaged on matters electoral preparedness, the sovereignty of the people, qualities ladies need to possess as they go high in ranking on matters leadership, women’s main role in leadership as well as self-evaluation question(who are you?).

The session began when ladies cited the reason why some of them did not register to vote yet it was a free process. Some of them acknowledged that the  process, however free, is tiring since it requires a tall order and the population is so big that they can’t keep standing in those long queues. When they came back to clear the process, the deadline had passed. Some of them just didn’t want to keep blaming and holding  politicians accountable thus they totally boycotted the process. Those who participated in the registration process felt like it’s their democratic right since it’s an act of patriotism, others stated that not taking part in the electoral process is letting others choose a bad leader on their behalf as well as it gives a chance for bad leaders to thrive and continue governing them.
