Political Glam and Spa

Glam Session

Badili Africa integrate makeup artistry with civic discussions on various topics, including gender-based violence, mental health, governance among others. These sessions serve as a strategic approach to engage young women in discussions they might not otherwise participate in.

Badili Africa organizes “political glam and spa” sessions, creating a comfortable and enjoyable environment where these women can freely express themselves without judgment. We implement this in institutions of higher learning. The goal is to shed light  issues and tailor specific measures for each institution to address them effectively.

Preventing Gender Based Violence

Male engagement

We acknowledge that eradicating gender-based violence (GBV) requires collaborative efforts from both men and women. We recognize that men play diverse roles, not only as potential perpetrators but also as victims and advocates against GBV. We intend to extend this approach beyond urban informal settlements to institutions of higher learning. The goal is to comprehend the male perspective on GBV, providing training to empower them as advocates and champions against GBV. The focus fosters discussions on intimate partner violence and explores alternative conflict resolution methods.
