SGBV as a Deterrent to Active Participation in Student Government Processes

Preventing gender based violence against women

Badili Africa is working to tackle the sexual harassment deterring young women’s active participation in student government processes. We have documented the horrific stories of SGBV female students face in student government elections, which silences women’s voices. Attach the silenced young woman documentary. We have capacity built over 50 young women leaders and over 25 administrators, giving them skills for better response toward SGBV. We also started student-led accountability teams demanding justice and support for survivors. By exposing injustice, strengthening skills, and sisterhood.
