Merging Beauty with Civic Dialogues

to enhance young women and chama women’s engagement in political and electoral processes.

Advocating for women in politics using glam session

Funded by USAID under the program of ECCES in partnership with ACT! the project successfully enhanced young women and chama women’s engagement through civic dialogues for political awareness and involvement in democratic processes. Our civic dialogues targeted young men and women from Nairobi’s informal settlements in Embakasi Central, Dagoretti North, and Mathare constituencies.

Our efforts have directly reached two thousand seven hundred and seventeen (2717) young women, young men, millennials, and grassroots women organized in chamas. Additionally, our projects indirectly reached over thirty-five thousand three hundred and twenty-one (35, 321) people through the multiplier effect of chama women leaders and young women leaders who reached out to their networks and clubs.
