Makeup Activism

Ongoing Project

Makeup Activism

Badili Africa uses makeup as an advocacy tool through our Make-Up Artivism exhibitions. Through these platforms, we harness the strength of art and storytelling to shed light on the experiences of survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and the impact of stigma on their overall well-being. Through makeup activism, we aim to prevent the re-stigmatization of survivors, sparing them from repeatedly sharing their stories in the pursuit of justice and avoiding further humiliation.
