Merging Beauty with Civic Dialogues to enhance young women and chama women engagement in political and electoral processes.
The core purpose of this project is to cultivate civic dialogues for political awareness and involvement in democratic processes. We have conducted meaningful civic education discussion forums targeting young women, men, gen z, millennials, and chama women from some of Nairobi’s informal settlements in Embakasi Central, Dagoretti North, and Mathare constituencies. Our efforts have directly reached two thousand seven hundred and seventeen (2717) young women, young men, millennials, and grassroots women organized in chamas. Additionally, our projects indirectly reached over thirty-five thousand three hundred and twenty-one (35, 321) people through the multiplier effect of chama women leaders and young women leaders who reached out to their networks and clubs.
Finally, we are thrilled to report that from the total number of participants (2717) reached directly by Badili Africa interventions, about two thousand (2000) committed to voting during the August 9th general elections.
