Research and Evidence-Based Programming
Any credible strategy toward accelerating women’s political participation has to be informed by rigorous research. This we do by conducting in-depth research to inform strategic objectives, hence providing hard evidence for advocacy efforts, program development, and policy changes. This includes identifying and analyzing the different types of barriers women face during political participation. These may range from gender-based violence, economic inequality, and unpaid care work, which women are usually expected to carry. Factors like these help us find relevant strategies to address the challenges and create more inclusive political environments. Using an evidence-based methodology, ensures embeddedness within the real world, with data and solutions unique to women in various contexts.
